MY CHILD is an independent feature documentary-in-production where parents of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) individuals in Turkey intimately share their experiences with the viewer, as they redefine what it means to be parents, family, and activists in a conservative, homophobic, and transphobic society.
i’ve met one fo the people in this documentary. he told me “my child is a transguy, and since he’s underage he cannot be member of lambda(the local lgbtq organization) so i am.” these are wondeful people, and they are looking for contributions to publish the movie. to help, please go here. tumblr is great at this sort of thing, i thought this might be a mission for us. help me get the word out?
